Terry Pratchett talking about his books on the first German Discworld Convention
After organizing our bookshelf almost a year ago (youtu.be my wife and I (Sean Ohlenkamp) decided to take it to the next level. We spent many sleepless nights moving, stacking, and animating books at Type bookstore in Toronto (883 Queen Street West, (416) 366-8973). Everything you see here can be purchased at Type Books. @Jeroic9 Oh right! Thank you! Love that sentiment. Saw a Neil Gaiman quote the other day with similar approach:
“There are better writers than me out there, there are smarter writers, there are people who can plot better – there are all those kinds of things, but there’s nobody who can write a Neil Gaiman story like I can.”

@cordeliaistheone Make certain you get born me. He’s saying the only way to write books the way he does is to be him. It’s a bit? of a joke on how you can only write what you know, and his background is what caused him to be the sort of person who could come up with Discworld.

i watched this on my tablet…although I actually worked in a bookstore fora few years, the amount of traveling I do these days converted me out of convenience to tablets. However it definitely true…. its just not the same as a good book.? Great job!
Very sad how dumb downed our society has become with books going away & being replaced on tablets, phones, etc..so sad. Today it was announced there will be no more printing of the encyclopedia & will only be available via tablets, phones, etc…sad how dumb humans have become. This truly? makes me wish for a large solar flare to completely knock out electricity on Earth so people can appreciate books, & other important things in life

I love bookstores; the air, the smell and the magic. It attracts me like anything. It feels like… Home. Books are very special. They’re my gateway to another world. I don’t know how I’ll live without having books in my life… Books are real, like you said. Digital, not so much…
